St. Louis +112 over Minnesota

8:07 PM ET. OT included. The Wild are riding a three-game winning streak, and the market is buying it hook, line, and sinker. Don’t fall for the bait. Minnesota’s recent success has come against sub.500 teams like Seattle, Columbus, and Nashville, and even those victories were far from dominant. However, the Wild’s winning ways have inflated their stock, but their current form doesn’t justify the price.

Furthermore, Minnesota remains without their offensive heartbeat, Kirill Kaprizov, who hasn’t even resumed skating. While Marco Rossi’s recent four-assist night looks good on paper, it came against a Columbus team that ranks near the bottom of the league in goals allowed. This is a team that relies heavily on Filip Gustavsson in net, but with the Wild playing their fourth game in six nights, there’s no guarantee he starts. If it’s Marc-Andre Fleury, the advantage shifts heavily to the Blues, as Fleury has been a liability all season with an .898 save percentage.

St. Louis comes into this game off a loss, but their defeat against Colorado was closer than the 4-2 score suggests. The Blues carried play for stretches and generated high-danger chances, only to be undone by the Avalanche’s elite finishing. The Blue run deep and are led offensively, Jordan Kyrou continues to drive the bus for the Blues, leading the team with 35 points. The supporting cast, including Robert Thomas and Dylan Holloway, has been productive, and St. Louis’s ability to score in transition makes them a threat against a Minnesota team prone to lapses. The gap between the teams is narrower than the odds suggest
