Nashville remains a deeply flawed team. They’ve struggled to string together wins all season and are mired in mediocrity, particularly away from home. The Predators have also benefitted from their fair share of luck recently, scoring on limited chances while their opponents missed the mark. That’s not a sustainable formula for success. The Pred also played last night, where they shut out Vancouver 3-0 despite getting outshot 27-19.

Meanwhile, the Flames are coming off a tough 5-3 loss to the Utah Hockey Club, a game in which they let a third-period lead slip away. While that loss stings, Calgary's response here is key. The Flames have shown resilience at home and play a much better brand of hockey at the Saddledome. Despite their inconsistencies, Calgary has been the better puck-possession team of late, creating more high-danger chances than they’ve allowed. The Predators are getting too much respect here.
