7:07 PM EST. OT included. The Red Wings seem to have found a spark under new head coach Todd McLellan, who has quickly instilled a renewed sense of purpose in a team that was floundering. Since McLellan replaced Derek Lalonde on December 26, the Red Wings have won two of three games, including back-to-back victories. Tuesday’s 4-2 win over Pittsburgh was particularly meaningful, as it marked McLellan’s 600th career win.

We faded the Wings in that game, and in a case of “sticking with it” we are coming right back again today to fade the “Dead Things”. Detroit is still a vulnerable team that struggles to sustain pressure and relies heavily on individual moments from Dylan Larkin or Patrick Kane to bail them out. The Red Wings are in the honeymoon phase with their new coach, but that euphoria won’t mask their flaws forever.

Columbus has won three of their last four games, including a gutsy 4-3 shootout win over Carolina on Tuesday as well as racking up wins over New Jersey and Boston before the Christmas break. Columbus remains under the radar, but they are short priced as the chalk here against a toothless invader and we’re not going to hesitate spotting the half puck or the 3-way line. Underlay.
