A six-game win streak propelled them into a playoff position for the first time since the 2016-17 season, and even though they lost their most recent game to Edmonton, that defeat came with an asterisk. Linus Ullmark, who has been nothing short of spectacular with a .967 save percentage in his previous seven starts, left that game with an injury.

At first glance, betting against a powerhouse like Winnipeg with its stellar 12-3-1 home record and dominant form might seem like swimming against the tide. Connor Hellebuyck is once again among the league’s elite, and Winnipeg’s top line, featuring Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor, has been shredding opposing defenses. Combine that with a potent offense that has scored four or more goals in six of the past nine games, and it’s no wonder the Jets are significant favorites here.

The market will inevitably gravitate toward Winnipeg, with the Jets’ high-powered offense and Hellebuyck’s stellar numbers create the illusion of invincibility, but this spot isn’t as lopsided as the odds suggest.
