While teams like Boston often garner market respect due to their reputation, this isn’t the same Bruins squad that dominated the NHL the last few years. A 7-2-0 run under interim head coach Joe Sacco has given them some short-term credibility, but two crushing losses to start their Western road trip hint at deeper problems. Now they head to Vancouver to face a Canucks team that is vastly undervalued in this spot.

Vancouver, meanwhile, is trending upward after a solid 4-0 win over Florida. Kevin Lankinen’s shutout was a standout performance, but the more important takeaway was the Canucks' team-wide effort. Rick Tocchet’s squad has been scrappy, opportunistic, and resilient, especially since the return of J.T. Miller and Derek Forbort to the lineup. With Vancouver regaining its defensive depth and offensive rhythm, this is a dangerous team that the market hasn’t fully adjusted to yet. The Canucks have been an anomaly this year: dominant on the road (10-2-1) but inconsistent at home (5-6-4). That said, their recent performance shows signs of turning the corner at Rogers Arena, and we’re content to spot the half puck with the Canucks.
