Then there’s San Jose. The Sharks are 0-3 on their current road trip, but Tuesday’s 3-2 loss in Carolina was a solid effort against one of the NHL’s best. Luke Kunin led the way with two goals, showcasing the grit and effort that has become his trademark, while new addition Nikolai Kovalenko looked promising in his debut. The Sharks aren’t winning games, but they’ve been competitive in most of them. This is also a situational spot that favors San Jose. The Blues are returning home after a long road trip, often a flat spot for teams as they settle back into routine. The Sharks are a scrappy underdog, and the Blues are not nearly as reliable as their recent results suggest. Overlay.
