7:07 PM EST. OT included. The Sabres have lost their first three games of the season, all in regulation, which means they do not have any points to show for their efforts thus far. Buffalo began the season in Europe with a pair of games versus the Devils before returning to the U.S. for a tilt with the Kings in Los Angeles on Thursday night. That 3-1 final does not do the Sabres justice, as they were the better team on the ice, outshooting L.A. 33-to-22. The Sabres actually took a 1-0 lead into the third period before the Kings tied it up, and Los Angeles scored the game-winning goal on a 5-on-3 power play with under two minutes to play, before adding an empty-netter to pad the final score.

This will be the first Sabres home game this season, and that barn should be rocking despite the rough start. Buffalo is loaded with talent, and we are not going to write them off after just three games.

This play is less about the Panthers and more about the Sabres, but we’ll note that Florida is 1-1 after beating the Bruins on Tuesday night. However, they dropped a 3-1 decision in Ottawa on Thursday night. The defending Stanley Cup champions are often going to be overvalued, and this looks to be another one of those spots, as they are spotting a significant price on the road to a quality team.
