Florida over Edmonton

8:07 PM EST. OT included. Mindset is everything, and so we turn to Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner, who is tasked with being the last line of defense before the frozen rubber hits the twine with his team in a deep 3-0 hole, "It is disappointing being down 3-0. I'm not too sure what the stats are coming back on it, but if anyone can do it, it's the Oil." Perhaps we’re being a bit harsh in our analysis of those words, but does Skinner sound like a professional athlete, or does he sound like a 10-year-old wishing on hope and a prayer that his team could come back and win?

If Skinner’s comments were not enough, here’s Captain White Bread, Connor McDavid: "We can't score on the outside on these guys. We have to get to the middle." Well, if those words don’t fire up his team, what will, right? Right?! Finally, let’s get the Robin to McDavid’s Batman, Leon Draisaitl, in here: "We're firing a lot of shots; we just can't seem to put it over the goal line. We're not sustaining enough pressure." Thanks, Leon, again, that should fire up the boys for one last stand on the Western Frontier.

By contrast, the Panthers are not only doing everything right, but they are saying the right things too, with Sam Bennett summing it up best: "Every single guy is committed to playing that defense first and that system of coming back supporting each other. That's what you need to have success. It's really been just a full commitment from the entire group." We’re not even going to begin to dissect the contrast in words and mindset between these two teams, as those words speak for themselves.

We’ll save the breakdown of X’s and O’s for the talking heads, but before we go, we’ll note last night's Game 4 in Dallas, in which the Celtics had a chance to sweep the Mavericks and win another NBA Championship. In that game, the C’s didn’t get off the bus, losing by 38 points. The narrative today is either the C’s wanted to win it “at home” or the Mavericks had the “sheer will” to stave off death for at least one more game. That result and the “they want to win one at home” hogwash are already having an influence on the market, as we’ve already heard it evoked when listening to the analysis of this Game 4 in Edmonton.

We cannot guarantee that the Panthers are going to win this game, but we know, like they do, that Lord Stanley’s Cup is in the building and there is no better time to hoist it than tonight, in a hockey-crazed city steeped in the history of the game. Perhaps we are waxing poetic, but is there not something special about winning the cup in the City of Champions and partying down the same side streets as #99 and the rest of those classic '80s Oilers teams? Effort will not be an issue here.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
