The Ducks are a plucky underdog, and they’ve been a thorn in the side of some of the top teams in the league, knocking off Boston, Pittsburgh, and Vegas over their last 10 games. In case you were worried that we are “late to the party,” we are now stepping back in on the Ducks after they lost back-to-back games to the Penguins and Flyers before beating the Sharks, 4-1. There is no value in a win over San Jose, so what we have tonight is a situation where the Ducks are taking back an inflated price on the road against a very weak host. We’ll note the Ducks went shot for shot with the Pens (again) and Flyers but ran into a hot goalie on both nights. Such is life in the NHL.

Meanwhile, Nashville is about the least appealing -160 favorite in the league. The Preds chances of losing are always good because it is a rare day when they outplay anyone. Nashville has five wins in 14 games and they are just 3-3 on their home ice. The Preds have given up 7, 6, 4, 4 and 5 goals in five of its last six games so it's not like their goalie is on fire. Take two teams that are very likely going to end up with near similar records when the season ends and give us a big tag on one of them in a 50/50 proposition and we’ll bite every time.
