Seattle +130 over Tampa Bay

7:07 PM EST. OT included. The Kraken have blown multi-goal leads in back-to-back games at Carolina and Florida, but that is not going to stop us from backing them here in Tampa Bay, as Seattle is better than its 2-5-2 would suggest. While the results have not been positive, the play of goaltender Joey Daccord has been, and the Kraken are going to ride his hot hand for a third straight start after Daccord made a team-record 42 saves against the Hurricanes and stopped 35-of-38 shots against the Panthers. We always say we cannot predict if a goalie will be hot or not, but Kraken coach Dave Hakstol sums it up pretty well in regards to sticking with Daccord, "He's had a little bit of momentum here, and that's why we went back with him tonight, and he gave us every opportunity to win the game."

The Lightning are riding the hot hand of their backup goaltender, with Jonas Johansson posting shutouts in two straight starts against the Hurricanes and Sharks. One of those squads is a juggernaut, but with goaltending problems of its own the Hurricanes were blanked by the Bolts 3-0 despite outshooting TB 32-23. Against the Sharks, the Lightning toyed with San Jose like a cat does a dead mouse, but a second shutout in a row, regardless of the weak opposition, is going to garner headlines and create a buzz. Could Johansson stop every shot he sees again tonight? Sure, but it’s far more likely that some regression takes place in the form of tallies on the scoresheet.
