7:07 PM EST. OT included. The Wings are a surprising 5-2-1 to start the season, but that record is not smoke and mirrors, as the team that Steve Yzerman is building in Detroit is legit. The Wings are coming off a 4-1 loss in Winnipeg, but prior to that, they had racked up points in six straight. Moreover, the Wings outshot the Jets 38-to-36 and dominated the puck possession numbers. In their eight games this season, the Wings are 1-1 versus top-10 competition and 2-1 versus the top-16. They've played some damn good hockey against some damn good teams.

Enter the Bruins, champions of the 2022-23 regular season and the record setters of the highest season point total in NHL history. The B's have picked up right where they left off last season (before the playoffs) and are winning at a high clip, going 6-0-1 in their first seven games of the season. Boston almost made it a record-setting 7-0, but a late rally by the Ducks on Thursday night would end that dream. The Bruins were up 3-2 with less than two minutes to play when Leo Carlsson brought the Ducks within one before Troy Terry tied the game with 15 seconds left. Carlsson would then assist on Mason McTavish's game-winner in OT.

Until further notice, there are not going to be many nights where the Bruins are not overvalued and spotting inflated prices, and that is the case here. The B's are not as good as they were last season, and there is going to be regression coming to this club. It's within that regression that we are going to mine some tremendous value, and we are not going to be shy about attacking the Bruins until our mine carts are full.
