Colorado -½ +101 over Seattle

9:07 PM EST. Regulation only. The choice for us here is to play Colorado at -½ with a tiny take-back or -1½ +150. We’re very tempted to spot -1½ but we’ll go a little bit conservative here. We found this price at Pinnacle and for us, they are a must have because of their low margins that help increase potential profits and get the best possible value for each bet.

We played the Avs yesterday in Dallas and it wasn’t pretty, as Colorado fell behind very early by two goals and ended up getting steamrolled in a 7-3 loss. What we especially like is that the Avs are coming off back-to-back games where they allowed seven goals. That cannot be sitting well with anyone in that Colorado locker room. Cale Makar, who returned yesterday after a lengthy absence, now has a game under his belt. It’s also appealing that the Avs do not have to wait long to get that bad taste out of their mouths. Colorado has been leaking oil for two straight games and this is very likely the game they have a big response in.

Seattle is a great opponent for Colorado to get its swag back and take some frustrations out on. For one, Seattle’s goaltending is absolutely brutal. Secondly, Seattle will play the final game of a four-game road trip that took them through St. Louis, Detroit and Columbus, where the Kraken would win all three. That has their stock trending up again but all three games were a struggle. Seattle could have just easily lost all three. Prior to that, the Kraken played two of the league’s elite in Boston and Toronto and lost both by scores of 5-1 and 6-5. They also lost to San Jose 4-0 recently. The Kraken will end this trip by playing an elite team in a foul mood and it’s not likely to end well for them.
