St. Louis Blues +108 over San Jose

It would be easy to write both of these teams off as “sellers,” as the trade deadline approaches, but unlike the Sharks, who traded away their franchise player in an all-out effort to take their best shot in the Connor Bedard lottery, the Blues still have some quality pieces on their roster. Despite that, St. Louis has dropped six games in a row, which is a bad look, but when you consider the quality of the competition, those results are a little easier to stomach. It’s worth noting that the Blues did take home points in overtime losses to both Pittsburgh and Vancouver. Their other losses came to Colorado, Ottawa (who is playing well right now), Carolina, and Seattle. Three of those four teams look to be headed to the playoffs, while the Senators are buzzing around the Eastern Conference Wild Card.

The Sharks are nearing rock bottom, and those that are left in the locker room do not seem to be pumped up about it. San Jose is coming off losses to Chicago and Montreal. Moreover, San Jose has scored two goals or less in seven of its last eight games. At this point, the Sharkies have no business being favored against anyone, anywhere in this league. That includes the Blue Notes at the Shark Tank.
