Detroit +111 over Ottawa

7:07 PM EST. OT included. The Sens crushed the Red Wings both on the scoreboard and on the ice, as Ottawa was skating circles around this surprisingly flat opponent. We’re not sure why the Red Wings were flat in what had to be considered one of their biggest games of the year. After that loss last night, Detroit is three points out of a wild-card spot and now have only a two-point buffer on the Senators. Detroit was not ready for Ottawa, as it was chasing the Sens around all night while spending a lot of time in the penalty box. The Sens came in uber focused and ready to play.

The Sens have buried 11 pucks in their last two games so their stock is rising quickly. They won in dominating fashion last night and anyone who bet and watched that game (either side) would be hard pressed to come back on Detroit tonight after witnessing them getting dominated. However, the Red Wings figure to respond with a big effort tonight. That effort cannot be sitting well with anyone in the Wings locker room. To a man, they’ll all confirm that the best medicine after a humiliating loss is to get right back out there and Detroit will not have to wait long to do exactly that. Furthermore, oddsmakers have made Ottawa the same price tonight as they did last night, which means they’ll welcome all bets on the Senators. Even with a lackluster effort, Detroit was up 1-0 and 2-1 despite a limited number of shots on net. A quality effort here should result in a win and we’re betting we’re going to get exactly that.
