2:07 PM EST. OT included. We’re “sticking with it” and coming right back today to fade the Panthers after ripping up our tickets on Thursday night in Washington. We’re not going to spend too much time on that game because the 6-3 final is very deceiving, as the Cats potted two empty net goals to pad their total in what was otherwise a very competitive game. The Capitals threw the kitchen sink at the Panthers in the third period, outshooting Florida 14-6. The Caps beat that bum Sergei Bobrovsky twice to close within one, but could not get over the hump.

We don’t like the Predators, but you know what? It doesn’t matter what we like or think or feel for that matter. The Preds have lost two straight, including a 4-2 loss to Arizona, which is not a good look. Last time out, Nashville got whacked 5-0 by Boston, but that final was very flattering to the visiting Bruins. That game was a classic case of one goalie being hot and the other not.

Nobody likes to get embarrassed, especially on their home ice. When it happens, usually a team cannot wait to get back out there and get that sour taste out of their mouths. The Preds fit that description today to a T. They catch Florida playing its fourth road game in a row and fourth road game since Monday.
