9:07 PM EST. Regulation only. It would be simple to make a case for the Rangers here, as they have won six in a row and have picked up a possible 15 out of 16 points over their last eight games. Meanwhile, Edmonton just lost to Detroit, 5-4, lost to Montreal 6-2, lost to Philadelphia 2-1 and lost to Columbus 3-2. You would be hard pressed to find a more pathetic string of losses than that aforementioned quartet that the Oilers recently lost to.

Now the oddsmakers are offering up the hottest team in the league at plus money. To us, that’s a big red flag, which is the only reason we’re playing the Oilers tonight. On all the public pick forums, we’re also seeing a heavy, heavy lean to the Rangers yet the line hasn’t budged. Yeah, New York may win going away here but this one is going to stand out as the “marquee” game of the night with the NBA having the weekend off. If you were thinking along those same lines, throw some caution to the wind and bail. We’re playing the side the oddsmakers don’t want us on.
