Vancouver +131 over Winnipeg

8:07 PM EST. OT Included. These two met on the 17th of December with Winnipeg smacking the Canucks 5-1 but that was then and this is now. The Jets are starting to panic. They have recalled minor league forward Kristian Reichel from the Manitoba Moose, giving them an extra body as they prepare for tonight’s match. This is Reichel’s first call-up of the season. Dude played in 13 games for the Jets last year, recording two points. Undrafted, Reichel has just two goals and eight points in 25 games with Manitoba this year.

The usual third line of Adam Lowry, Morgan Barron and Jansen Harkins became the second line Tuesday against Minnesota, a game the Jets were dominated in. The bottom six consisted of two Manitoba Moose call-ups (Kevin Stenlund and Michael Eyssimont), two waiver wire pickups (Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Karson Kuhlman), plus Sam Gagner and David Gustafsson. The Jets are in no position nor are they good enough to be favored in this range against the Canucks.

Vancouver may have a goaltending disadvantage here but that’s something we cannot factor in. Any goalie can get hot or cold, thus, we’ll rely more on current form and in that regard, Vancouver is burying pucks left, right and center. They’re also winning games because they’re loaded with offensive talent that is almost impossible to contain right now. Over their last seven wins, the Canucks have scored 3, 7, 6, 4, 6, 5 and 6 goals respectively. That’s 37 goals in 7 victories. Vancouver now has a score to settle with the Jets and we’re betting they settle it. Huge value here on the Canucks.
