N.Y. Islanders +125 over Dallas

8:00 PM EST. OT included. The Islanders are coming off a 5-4 loss in Nashville which bookended wins over Ottawa and Columbus after a “bad” loss to the lowly Coyotes. The Islanders have yet to drop back-to-back games this season, which suggests it is a rare day when the Isles don't bring it. The Islanders are playing well despite Mathew Barzal yet to find his scoring touch. Barzal has not netted a goal this season, but he’s too good to keep up that goose egged pace.

Since November 5, the Stars are ranked sixth in PDO, or “puck luck.” which is a measure that combines save percentage and shooting percentage to establish if a team is or isn’t getting the bounces. At the moment, the Stars are getting those bounces. A correction to the bad is coming. The Stars have given up 20 goals in their last four games. Both of the Dallas goaltenders are banged up with Jake Oettinger dealing with a lower-body injury. Meanwhile, Scott Wedgewood was stretchered off the ice versus the Panthers last time out.

The Stars' stock is on the rise after collecting points in three straight games against the Flyers (win), Tampa Bay (OT loss), and Florida (win). Despite the positive results, Dallas was outshot in every one of those games, including 44-to-29 by the Panthers on Thursday night. Dallas was a +142 underdog in that game, which is a much different role than the favorite price they are spotting tonight. Living a charmed life, Dallas is a very decent fade here and the Islanders are a very decent dog.
