Ottawa +170 over New Jersey

7:08 PM EST. OT included. We’ve been riding the Devils this season, as they’ve been playing at an elite level, but were not priced as such. Well, that is starting to change. Prior to tonight’s price, New Jersey was just -132 against the Flames on Tuesday night. The Devils would win that game, but they were outshot and outplayed by Calgary, despite picking up the 3-2 win. That was the Devils' first game back after their Western Canadian road trip. That trek through Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver can be a brutal one. It’s also one that New Jersey went 3-0 on. With their win over Calgary last timeout, the Devils have now won seven in a row and nine of their last 10. New Jersey’s stock is on the uptick, it is getting love from the pundits, and it is no longer flying under the radar. We’ve had our fun with New Jersey, but now it’s time to switch gears.

The biggest splash the Senators have made this season has been off the ice, as Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds told Jimmy Fallon that he and a consortium would be pursuing a potential sale of the Senators. Reynolds is most known for his Vancouver roots, but he spent many formative years in the ‘burgs of the Canadian capital. If you're wondering how the actor’s intentions were received by the fanbase, there were many in the stands wearing Reynolds’ trademark “Deadpool” mask, which just so happens to match the Senators' red and black color scheme perfectly.

Reynolds would not be buying some old jalopy either. Ottawa is building something special and it is loaded with young talent. Despite the quality of their team, the Sens are not being rewarded for their solid play. A six-game losing skid will hurt anyone’s curb appeal, but those results are deceiving.

We played the Sens on Tuesday night against Vancouver, where they outshot the Canucks 41-27. The final—6-4, Vancouver. Ottawa also outshot the Flyers and Vegas in their two losses prior to playing the ‘Nucks. The Sens have run into hot goaltending (Flyers), and they’ve played some of the best teams in this league, dropping one-goal games to Florida, Tampa, and Vegas. In the spirit of sticking with it, we're coming right back on the Sens because the value remains outstanding.
