Seattle +124 over Green Bay

8:20 PM ET. Seattle has been on a tear, winning four straight games since their Week 10 bye, a run that has propelled them to the top of the NFC West standings. Just a few weeks ago, the Seahawks were languishing in last place in the division, but a much-improved defense and a rejuvenated offense have turned their season around. The defense, which gave up a brutal 29.7 points per game over a six-game stretch earlier in the season, has tightened up significantly, allowing just 15.5 points per game over the past four weeks.

That defensive resurgence has been complemented by a solid running game, highlighted by rookie Zach Charbonnet’s career-best 134-yard, two-touchdown performance last week against Arizona. Even with Kenneth Walker III sidelined, the Seahawks’ offensive line has stepped up, giving Geno Smith time to operate and creating lanes in the running game.

Green Bay, on the other hand, comes into this game reeling from a crushing 34-31 loss to Detroit, a result that effectively ended their NFC North title hopes. While the Packers’ 9-4 record looks strong on paper, they’ve been outclassed in key matchups against top-tier opponents like the Lions, Vikings, and Eagles and the mini-bye week isn’t likely to fully resolve their issues. Offensively, the Packers have relied heavily on Josh Jacobs while QB Jordan Love has been prone to boneheaded plays (usually in the form of turnovers) as he often channels his inner Brett Favre.

With the Lions at 21-1 and the Vikings at 11-2, the 9-4 Packers are virtually locked into a Wild Card berth, which might diminish their sense of urgency. Lumen Field remains one of the toughest places to play in the NFL, especially in a primetime setting and the Packers haven’t won there since 2008. Past results do not guarantee future returns, but our point stands that Seattle is no easy place to play despite the stumbles they’ve had at home this season. This is a showcase game for the Seahawks at home in prime time they are more than capable of winning outright.
