The action in this game has gone both ways, as there was an initial surge from the market to back the Giants after the Cowboys lost at home again, this time against the Ravens in a 28-25 game, which came on the heels of their embarrassing 44-19 blowout loss to the Saints in Week 2. However, since then, the market has shifted some, with action today coming in on the Cowboys, which is almost always a red flag. With all that said, we are going to take our usual Thursday Night Football position and sit this one out, as there are dozens of outside variables that cannot be accounted for on a short week. Furthermore, these games often end up being terrible, with only one side showing up. TNF is nothing more than a cash grab, and the league and its partners could care less if these early-week games are a detriment to player health and safety.

While we are not interested in picking a side in this game, if we were forced to make a wager, we would be looking at the under, as the Cowboys have gone over in all three of their games this season. However, the ticket cashing party for Dallas has already started, and now would not be the time to show up and take part. That party might be over already, and we cannot recommend betting this game to go over the total. Yes, Thursday Night Football can be sloppy, but it’s not easy to score points in this league, and we’ve seen that so far on Thursday nights, with the totals coming in at 47, 41, and 27. Who here is going to put up the points necessary for this game to go over? Perhaps we get a tight, high-scoring affair that ends 27-24, but the more likely scenario is one team dominating the other in another ugly game. (No Bets)
