1:00 PM EST. Kansas City can’t start 0-2, can they? Actually they can. This should be a fascinating game and a statement of sorts. The reigning Super Bowl champs did not play to form in Week 1 when the Lions visited and stole a 21-20 win. The upstart Jaguars already made some noise in the playoffs last January and dispatched the Colts 31-21 for their opener. Frankly speaking, the Jaguars at home with an improved offense may be as good as anyone. This is a replay of the Divisional Round last January, when the Chiefs won 27-20 in Kansas City but the Jags turned the ball over twice and were the better team.

Last week, the betting world caught fire on the news that Travis Kelce was held out. Subsequently, the line dropped quickly, then the offense looked more like an average team than a returning Super Bowl champion. Patrick Mahomes couldn't connect consistently with anyone. Dropped passes were a problem, and the Chiefs could have pulled it off with a play here and there, but they didn't. Now they travel to face the Jaguars and hope to get Kelce back from his hyper-extended knee.

The Jaguars anticipate reaching the next level this year with an offense that is another year more experienced, and that added Calvin Ridley to the lineup. Trevor Lawrence had minor reason to pass in the win over the Colts, yet connected with Calvin Ridley like they had played together for years. Travis Etienne is a major factor. Two things are keeping Jacksonville’s price in check right now, and it's time to capitalize. One is its lack of credibility. Two, the Chiefs are the Chiefs are the Chiefs. The market loves a winner and we cannot count how many times we’ve read or heard that they are unlikely to start 0-2. Bottom line is the Jags are undervalued and could remain undervalued until their next opportunity when they host the Texans next week.
