Campbell has made it known that he plans to play his starters for at least the first quarter with the rest of the Lions who are competing for jobs to take over after that. You may remember that last season, Campbell’s Lions were tough luck losers who played hard more often than not. One has to figure that fighting spirit will be a part of the Lions' DNA here in 2022.

Campbell is not the type of coach that will treat these preseason games like they are nothing. He is committed to changing the culture in Detroit and the only way to do that is by winning.
