5:45 PM ET. Rivalry games often come with inflated lines, and this one is no different. NC State has owned this series recently, winning three straight against ECU. That alone sets the stage for the Wolfpack to be overvalued.

NC State enters with an uninspiring season despite a marquee win over UNC in their finale, which ended in a midfield brawl. Conversely, ECU limps in after a 14-point loss to Navy, a game they were expected to win. Still, the Pirates’ late-season surge under interim head coach Blake Harrell (4-1 in their last five) gives them momentum.

The Wolfpack opened the year with lofty ambitions but ended in mediocrity. A Military Bowl clash with ECU likely isn’t the finale they envisioned. Meanwhile, the Pirates are playing inspired football and relish the chance to take down their in-state rivals. The line suggests ECU is live here. We’ll gladly take the points and won’t rule out an outright upset.
