They knocked off then-#1 Alabama in Nashville, followed by a Top-25 ranking and an upset of Kentucky as a 13-point dog. Vanderbilt even gave Texas a scare in Austin. However, they’ve since regressed, losing three straight and falling off the radar completely. The market has written them off, which is precisely where we want them.

Georgia Tech, on the other hand, has been riding a wave of hype. They shocked Miami, upset Florida State in Ireland, and pushed Georgia to the brink in an eight-overtime thriller. Their stock has soared. But let’s dig deeper. The Jackets’ emotional letdown after blowing a 14-point lead to Georgia cannot be understated. That loss was their national championship, and rebounding in a mid-tier bowl is a tall ask.

Vanderbilt, led by QB Diego Pavia, is hungry. This program hasn’t won a bowl game in over a decade and hasn’t had a winning season since James Franklin’s tenure. This is their chance to rewrite the narrative, and we trust they’ll seize it. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech’s morale and focus are serious question marks. Vanderbilt outright.
