The #11 team in the country that is undefeated, is taking back points against an unranked UCF squad that is presently 3-4 and riding a four-game losing streak? It is also worth mentioning that BYU is one of the hottest teams in the country against the number (6-1) on the year. In fact, last week’s 38-35 win over Oklahoma State was the first time that Brigham Young failed to cover after doing so in eight straight outings dating back to last year. Despite all of the above, the Cougars are the underdog here. Say what?? If that isn’t what a sucker bet looks like, we don’t know what does.

Every tout, analyst, and expert alike has been propping up the Cougars as one of the Plays of the Week. The bottom line is the oddsmakers are taking a clear position that the Cougars are not all they are cracked up to be, nor are they in fact the 11th best team in the country. A breakdown of X’s and O’s is not needed because the message is loud and clear.
