Tulsa +13 over Army

Chapman Stadium, Tulsa, OK

12:00 PM EST. The Black Knights are off to a perfect 4-0 start, both Straight Up and Against the Spread (ATS), for the first time in nearly 30 years. The case to be made for Army is easy. There isn’t a single school in the nation with a better-ranked offense than the Black Knights, as they also post the second-highest points per possession (4.68) in all of FBS. The media and the market love offense, and Army has obliged in spades. The Black Knights are led by QB Bryson Daily, who ranks in the top 5 with eight rushing TDs, which is the most by an Army cadet since 1980, while their point differential of +103 is the highest it’s been since 1985. All of this to say, Army is overperforming, and its stock is at its highest in decades. That said, Army has played a weak schedule that ranks at just 171 of the 263 schools in all of Division 1, with its wins coming over Lehigh (218), FAU (119), Rice (124), and Temple (153), which are not exactly a who’s who of college football.

Meanwhile, Tulsa has dropped three of its last four and now sits at 2-3 both SU and ATS. However, the Golden Hurricane have played a tougher slate of games, with their losses coming to Arkansas State (107), North Texas (84), and Oklahoma State (25). Expectations were not high for Tulsa this season, so it is a team that is very under the radar. Last week vs. North Texas, the Golden Hurricane were waffled 52-20, but there were positives, including a 229-yard team rushing effort on the ground, with five players posting at least 30 yards.

Admittedly, there is not a lot of sugar-coating that can be done about a 32-point blowout, but this wager has more to do with fading Army with its stock through the roof. This is the largest spread the cadets have had hung on them this season, and there is no doubt a premium to be paid to back the Black Knights in this spot. That makes taking back the inflated points on offer here the prudent play.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
