At 3-10 with a pitiful 1-9 road record, the Wildcats are being asked to lay points on the road—a role they’re completely unfit to play. The market is fixated on Bethune-Cookman’s dominance in this series (six wins in the last seven meetings) and ignores the glaring flaws in their current form.

Florida A&M, by contrast, has played the toughest schedule in the country (per KenPom) and finally gets a chance to exhale. The Rattlers just wrapped up a grueling three-game road trip and have been resting at home, preparing for this game. Bethune-Cookman, on the other hand, has spent the last month living out of a suitcase, playing exclusively on the road. The Wildcats thrived as double-digit dogs in December, but now find themselves in the uncomfortable position of being road chalk. This is a coin flip disguised as a five-point spread. Neither team has a significant edge, but Florida A&M has the situational advantage, home court, and a chance to rewrite the script against a team that’s lived rent-free in their heads.
