Mercyhurst +113 over Stonehill

7:00 PM ET. This matchup may not feature powerhouse programs, but it presents an excellent situational handicapping opportunity. Stonehill comes in with a stronger record (8-7), a recent road win as a 4.5-point underdog at Lafayette, and a respectable 6-2 ATS mark in their last eight games. On paper, the Skyhawks seem like the logical play, laying less than a three-pointer against the struggling Lakers.

Mercyhurst, by contrast, has lost five of their last six games, including a 21-point blowout at West Virginia and a buzzer-beater heartbreak against Binghamton. Against common opponent Lafayette, the Lakers fell by four points at home. All signs appear to point toward Stonehill as the superior side.

Here’s the catch: Stonehill’s road struggles (1-6 in away games this season) and unfamiliarity as road chalk raise red flags. Similarly to Robert Morris’s collapse as road favorites against Detroit Mercy yesterday, Stonehill’s positive perception in the market feels overbaked. Mercyhurst is undervalued in this spot, with the line suggesting a far closer contest than recent form would imply. Taking the Lakers on the moneyline offers significant value.
