The opening round of the NCAA Tournament gets all the attention, but conference championship week is quickly becoming the next biggest event on the betting calendar. Reports from the ground in Vegas this week have said the mid-week crowds are bigger than ever, and a huge weekend is expected, with everything culminating with Selection Sunday.

The market feasted yesterday, as the blue bloods and the ranked teams crushed the number against their inferior competition. Many teams covered with ease, including Duke (by 21½) and Kansas (by 17). You don’t think those ranked sides dominating isn’t going to resonate in the market as they head to the windows at the sportsbooks today?
