North Dakota State +4½ over South Dakota State

9:30 PM EST. The Jackrabbits of South Dakota State come into this Summit League semi-final as the #2 seed in the conference after posting a 13-5 record (going 19-12 overall). South Dakota State received a bye for their efforts, and so the Jackrabbits have played just one game thus far, which was against basement-dwelling Omaha. Prior to knocking off the Mavericks, the ‘Rabbits won seven of eight both straight up and Against the Spread (ATS).

North Dakota State is the #3 seed, but faced a scare in its opening-round game against South Dakota. The Bisons were a 5½-point favorite but had to hang on for dear life from gate-to-wire. At no point did North Dakota State have a lead big enough to give one hope it had a chance in hell of covering that number. If that wasn’t unappealing enough, the Bisons also didn’t cover in their season finale against Western Illinois.

This is a tremendous “buy low, sell high” situation that allows us to back a Bisons side that has a great chance to win this game. The near double-digit swing in points and the change in role from favorite to underdog looks so good on North Dakota State. Yesterday, the pressure was on. Today, they are playing with house money, as the Jackrabbits are expected to be in the Summit final. We won’t get greedy, as we are more than happy to put these generous points in our pocket and hope we don’t need them.
