10:00 PM EST. The mighty Gauchos of Santa Barbara stumble into this home game after losing two straight games. One at home to UC Irvine and the other, at UC Riverside. Those losses are more damaging because they came by double digits. Further, the Gauchos were favored in both contests as well. That is not a good look and it will lose one favor in a fickle market.

Meanwhile, the Titans of Cal State Fullerton are roaring down the stretch with wins in six of seven games. That stretch includes a very tidy 5-1-1 record Against the Spread. The scumbag pick sellers love a trend, and the Titans are trending upward in all the right ways. However, jumping on Fullerton full steam tonight would be the wrong move. The party is over. The train has left the station. That cow has been milked. You get the point.

Just as there is value in taking back inflated points with an underdog, there is value in spotting deflated points with a short-priced favorite. The recent form of these two teams has created a perfect storm where the Titans are getting way too much respect on the road in a building that is tough to play in. For some perspective on just how inflated the Titans’ stock is at the moment, we’d like to point out that when these two teams played at the end of December, Santa Barbara was a 4½-point favorite at Fullerton. Now, they are just a possession less on their home court tonight? That can’t be.
