6:30 PM EST. As we know, not all records are created equal, and the grind of conference play is where we separate those that are built for the long haul and those that got soft chewing on the fat.

Ball State doesn’t have a signature win among its dozen W’s, but to be fair, those standout victories are hard to find when one plays a weak schedule that ranks 294-of-363 ranked schools. Prior to the MACtion, the Cardinals played a non-conference schedule that was graded at just 300th in all of Division I. Meanwhile, the Golden Flashes have played a non-conference schedule that was in the top 100 (94th). Two of Kent State’s three losses came to ranked Gonzaga (73-66), and Houston (49-44). The Golden Flashes were not outclassed in either contest.

To an uninclined market that is going to settle in to watch two teams that they may not have seen very much this season, the significant pile of points the Golden Flashes are spotting here is going to look tempting, but we must warn you that this is a short price that does not accurately represent the discrepancy in talent between these two programs.
