Phoenix -6 -105 over Minnesota

9:00 PM EST. The spread is rising on the Suns for good reason. Phoenix has been up and down so far this season mostly due to injuries. Frank Vogel has had a lot to deal with in his first season coaching a new team - a trio of big stars, constant rotation changes, and of course the ever-present pressure of maintaining the Suns' winning culture after Monty Williams left. The results have been sporadic so far, but this presents as a premium smash-spot for his team.

First and foremost, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal are all slated to play tonight. Secondly, this is a great spot at home, where they've been since last Thursday, against a Western Conference contender that everyone wants to beat.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been surging since November 1. Boston, New Orleans, Golden State, even last year's champs the Denver Nuggets - everyone has fallen to the Timberwolves stout defense and high-energy roster for the last two weeks. Minnesota has won seven straight games and covered five in the span. But tonight is where the winning likely stops.

Minnesota fought their asses off last night at the Chase Center, winning their second-straight game against the Golden State Warriors. The game kicked off with a huge fight, full of chokeholds and ripped jerseys, as the T-Wolves/Warriors budding rivalry rose to a new level of animosity. It was a closely fought, defensive battle that ended in only 205 points, and the Timberwolves ultimately surged in the fourth quarter to get another win. Tonight, just 23 hours after tip-off at Golden State, this is a very quick turnaround travel spot. It's also the T-Wolves fifth game in seven days. They'll be tired, and the Suns will be there to take advantage. There's only one way to look tonight.
