7:10 PM EST. The Wizards are in the midst of a run of just two wins in nine games, one win in six games, and two straight losses, thus their stock is way down. Not only that, but the Wiz are not on the outside looking in on the NBA’s Play-in tournament. That dip in Washington’s market appeal has little to do with this play, but it is the perfect “B-side” to the real reason we are here. It's also worth noting that during Washington's current skid, they lost to Atlanta twice, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Sacramento. The Wiz will now take a step down in class in a good sitaution while spotting deflated points.

This looks to be a prime situational play to fade the Magic, who are coming off a four-game Western Conference roadie that saw them play in San Antonio, Phoenix, and Los Angeles (twice). Now the Magic return home to face the Wizards, with both New York teams coming in for games on Thursday and Sunday, with the Knicks up first. That game will be televised nationally on NBA TV. The Magic are rarely on national television for obvious reasons, but the Knicks draw eyes and they sell tickets. To recap, we have the Magic coming home after a lengthy western roadie, and they have the Knicks and a date with the TV cameras on Thursday night.
