7:40 PM EST. The Knicks are the hottest team in the Association after ripping off nine straight wins, with an equally sparkling 8-0-1 record against the spread (ATS). When the Knicks start making waves, they get a ton of attention. That's what happens when you play in the biggest media market in the league and one of the most famous cities in the world.

If the Knicks' hype train was not chugging along fast enough, New York's upset over the Celtics in Boston on Sunday kicked the hype into high gear. It was the Knicks' second win over the C's in just a week. We'll give credit where it is due, as New York has knocked off three of their biggest rivals over the last four games, with wins over Brooklyn and Miami sandwiched in between beating Boston. However, situationally speaking, this does not look like a favorable situation for the Knicks to cover an inflated number.

After back-to-back road games in Miami and Boston, the Knicks return to the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, for a one-off with lowly Charlotte before heading out west for a four-game trip that will see them play Sacramento, both L.A. squads, and the Trail Blazers. Those are four pretty high-profile games, and two of them are arguably Finals previews. With so many big games behind them and coming up, if the Knicks were to stop and catch a breath, it would be here against the Hornets.

As we said, this is a situational play against the Knicks, but the Hornets are the perfect foil, as their stock is down. LaMelo Ball has been shut down for the season, and if that wasn't bad enough, the Hornets have lost three straight, failing to cover in all three games. There are inflated points on top of inflated points being offered up here. We'll take the double-digits and hope to see you at the pay window.
