Oklahoma City +4 -105 over Sacramento

7:10 PM EST. The Kings are coming off one of the highest-scoring games you’ll see, which is saying a lot in today’s NBA. In that 176-175 final in double-overtime thriller on Friday night in Los Angeles, the Kings and Clippers combined for 44 three-pointers, the most in a game in league history. In case you had any doubts about whether or not the NBA has become a glorified three-point shooting contest, there ya go. The win was the second for Sacramento since the All-Star break, as the Kings also knocked off Portland in convincing fashion, 133-166.

By contrast, the Thunder are 0-2 since the break after dropping games to both Phoenix (124-115) and Utah (120-119). The Thunder were without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Friday night against the Suns, and he is not expected to suit up tonight. When a star player like Gilgeous-Alexander is not expected to play, the “injury chasers” come out of the woodwork to try and take advantage. However, Gilgeous-Alexander’s injury is not privileged information, and the books have compensated for his absence in this price.

Recency bias looms large here, as the Kings are 2-0 after the break, while the Thunder are 0-2. We can use those results to our advantage here, as we can now back a really talented young Thunder as an underdog on their home court against an invader that could be running on fumes after that marathon scoring session on Friday night. It’s worth noting this is the first of back-to-back games these two teams will play in OKC. If we rip up this ticket tonight, we won’t hesitate to come right back on the Thunder on Tuesday night.
