10:10 PM EST. The Mavericks have fallen on hard times, having lost eight of their last 11 games after a nice run of seven wins in a row that came prior to this recent run of futility. At 25-24 The Mavs are on the “bubble” for the top-6, and the 7-10 spots that will participate in the play-in tournament, but rather than talking about selling at the trade deadline, Dallas is all in to make the moves to secure a long playoff run. When stories like that are in the papers, it lets the team know that the suits are going to do what they can to improve the pieces around franchise player, Luka Doncic

Speaking of Doncic, you can tell dude does not like losing, “I’m focused on winning right now, so just keep my mind on winning.” That was his answer to a question about the technical foul Donic took against the Wizards, which was his second “T” in two games, and 11th on the season. Doncic also added he “didn’t deserve” the technical fouls, but we would not expect anything less from anyone in his position.

The Suns have adjusted to life without Devin Booker, as they’ve won and hit pay dirt in four straight. Last time out, Phoenix beat up lowly Charlotte, 128-97, as a -7½-point favorite. They also knocked off Memphis, 112-110 (as an 8½-point pooch), Indiana, 112-107 (-2½-point chalk), and Brooklyn (w/o Kevin Durant), 112-107 (as a 3½-point underdog). We’re not going to rain on the Suns’ parade of wins, but we will point out that Phoenix is now seeing an increase in its curb appeal, and they still have star power with Chris Paul. We’d also like to point out that if a team like the Nets in their current form were a bigger price than the Mavs are tonight just a week and four Phoenix wins ago, that’s all we need to know to determine where the value is. The wrong side is favored here, but with just a possession being offered up to the Mavs, we’ll take Dallas to win outright.
