7:10 PM EST. There is a lot working in this game, but we’ll start with the Bulls, who have won three straight games at “home.” However, one of those games, their 126-108 over the Pistons was played last Thursday in Paris, France as a part of the NBA’s initiative to help develop French basketball in advance of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The bread of that sandwich was a win over the Warriors before heading across the Atlantic, and a victory over Atlanta last night. The Bulls were flat to start that game, scoring just 17 points, but they were able to outscore the Hawks 33-22 in the fourth quarter to take a 111-100 decision as a -1½ point favorite. Not only is Chicago’s stock on the rise, but situationally speaking, this looks like an advantageous spot to fade the Bulls in their second game of a back-to-back after that trip to Paris, on the road in "The Hoosier State."

While the Bulls were dining on fancy wine & cheese, fresh croissants, and crêpes, the Pacers were losing (again), dropping weekend games to Denver and Phoenix, which brought Indiana's losing streak to seven games. Not only are the Pacers not winning, but they aren’t cashing tickets either with just a 1-7 record against the spread over their last eight. To summarize, Indy’s stock is in the toilet.

Based on current form alone, the one possession the Bulls are being asked to spot here on the road looks like low hanging fruit, but the line is very telling. Chicago has three straight games against the dregs of the East with visits to Charlotte and Orlando on deck after tonight. If there was a time for the Bulls to exhale after their extreme travel schedule, it’s going to be on this road trip with three teams that are easy to look past.
