Phoenix -1½ over Golden State

10:00 PM EST. The Suns had high expectations last season. In the regular season, they fulfilled them, finishing as the top seed in the Western Conference. The playoffs were a different story, as the Suns were knocked off by the fourth seeded Mavericks.

The Suns began this season with a win at Dallas, they lost a tight game in overtime in Portland and they whacked the Clippers on Sunday. That’s some quality competition thus far, but the Suns have only covered one of their three games. Phoenix is loaded and ready for another run. We trust that in this early part of the season, these games are going to mean a little more to them than they do Golden State.

The Warriors are still in party mode. They were sluggish against the Lakers on opening night, but the Lakers couldn’t buy a bucket so the Dubs won and covered in that high profile game. Golden State then lost to Denver as a 5½-point favorite last Friday night and it then looked disinterested in a 130-125 win at home over lowly Sacramento on Sunday. The Warriors were a 10-point favorite in that game and did not cover.

The Warriors are the defending champions and they are trading back at near prime dynasty level prices. These are the defending champs that are not invested yet. They'll still win plenty of games until they get 100% nvested again, which likely be in January or February. Right now, these games are merely glorified practices for the Warriors' core and so we'll attempt to take advantage of bargain prices against them.
