The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) finale looks to be a classic striker-versus-grappler matchup, as 31-year-old Australian Kaan Ofli brings an eight-fight win streak and a deeper arsenal into this fight with his ability to take fights to the ground. To get here, Ofli beat Nathan Fletcher and Roedie Roets, and now he will face striker Mairon Santos.

Santos is a 24-year-old Brazilian who also has an impressive record (13-1), but he has struggled to get down to the 145 lbs necessary to take the featherweight crown. It remains to be seen how that weight cut will affect him, but that is not the only issue he has faced along the way, as visa issues and canceled bouts show some potential red flags outside the cage.

Inside the Octagon, Ofli will need to lean on his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt to exploit Santos’ limitations and limit the Brazilian's opportunity to connect with his power punches. Ofli’s last two professional wins came by submission, and he’s won four of his last eight by getting the tap out. Santos may have more raw talent, but he’s still growing, while Ofli is seasoned and is a more well-rounded fighter. Patience and discipline will be key here, and there is great potential for Ofli to use Santos’ aggressiveness against him. It’s surprising to see Ofli entering this fight as such a significant underdog because he just has more ways to win. Overlay.
