N.Y. Yankees -1½ +160 over Baltimore

7:05 PM EST. Nestor Cortes (LHP - NYY) was scheduled to start tonight, but is instead having an MRI. At the time of this posting, the Yankees had not named a starter, but word is that it could be Marcus Stroman or Cody Poteet, who is down at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. However, we don’t care who is pitching for the Yankees after Baltimore punched their ticket to the playoffs.

The Orioles are in, and we have to wonder what they have left in the tank tonight after finally being able to exhale after a long season. The O’s have struggled down the stretch, going 5-10 over their last 15 games, and they are a full four games back of the Yankees with five games to play. The magic number for the Yanks is down to just one game, so the chances of the O’s winning the AL East are very slim.

The O’s will go with Zach Eflin (RHP - BAL) tonight, and while he’s been solid since joining Baltimore, he did struggle in a pair of starts vs. the Yanks while with Tampa Bay, allowing five runs in 12 innings. That said, this play is about fading the O’s after making it to October.
