9:40 PM EST. Logan Webb (RHP - SF) allowed three runs on four hits in five innings against Baltimore last Thursday, striking out eight and walking two. Webb has allowed three or more runs in each of his last five starts in what has been an up-and-down year. However, he’s not really the target here—it’s the Giants and their puny bats we are looking to fade, as they play out the string.

Brandon Pfaadt’s (RHP - ARI) second-half numbers aren’t great, but he’s been better than his 5.97 ERA would suggest. Pfaadt has had some bad luck with a 37% hit rate and a low 58% strand rate, leading to more runs crossing than there should be. Since the All-Star break, Pfaadt has struck out 10.1 batters per nine (10.1 K/9) and posted a low walk rate (1.9 BB/9). The Giants' offense has been brutal of late, punching out a ton and posting a .571 OPS over their last 10 games. Pfaadt won his last start against the Brewers last Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks over 7 IP, while striking out 12. We’re willing to bet the good times keep rolling for him today.
