It’s expected that Brant Hurter (RHP - DET) could either start this game or work in bulk relief after an opener, as that piggyback role has served him well this season. Over his last three appearances, Hurter has allowed four earned runs in 15.1 IP, with 12 Ks and a 14.8% K-BB rate. Tonight, Hurter faces a Baltimore side that is scuffling at the plate with a 23% strikeout rate vs. LHP over the last month while hitting just .226.
