While the K’s were low, Lugo threw 70 of his 103 pitches for strikes and finished the game with his 20th quality start of the season and his third in his last four starts.

Marcus Stroman (RHP - NYY) is coming off a brutal outing last Wednesday in which he allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out three over 3.2 IP vs. the Rangers. Stroman has seen his velocity dip this season while also currently setting career lows in both his groundball rate and strikeout rate. Stroman currently has a puny 8% swing & miss rate, which is also on pace for a career low. On the season, Stroman’s ERA is 4.03, but his xERA is 4.93, and he’s a weak favorite that must be faded in this spot.
