Detroit over San Diego

8:40 PM EST. Casey Mize makes his second start since coming off the IL after he pitched six innings of solid ball despite a less-than-stellar stat line. Mize gave up 3 ER on 5 H over 6 IP against the Red Sox, but he struck out four and walked just one. Mize is not a power pitcher, but his first-pitch strike rate is tremendous at 67.6%, and his groundball rate is elite. Furthermore, he has the pedigree of a #1 overall pick, though he has yet to reach his full potential. Because of that, he is under the radar and underpriced here.

Martin Perez (LHP - SD) is 2-0 since joining the Padres, but don’t let those wins fool you into believing he’s turned into a quality starting pitcher since leaving the Pirates. He’s posted an inflated 5.33 xERA despite a promising-looking surface ERA of 3.41. Furthermore, he has a 28/10 K/BB ratio in 31.2 IP as a Friar and a 91/42 K/BB ratio in 114.2 IP on the season. Since joining San Diego, Perez has had a horseshoe up his rear end with a 92.7% strand rate, and eventually, those base runners are going to come home to score.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
