Keller has been up and down, but he’s capable of great things, including the nine strikeouts over seven shutout innings he racked up against the Rangers in his start prior to the Cubs on August 20.

We are here to fade Alex Cobb (RHP - CLE), who returns from the 15-day IL after suffering a cracked fingernail on his pitching hand. The Guardians are reeling these days, as they’ve nearly given up their lead in the AL Central, and they are desperate for quality starting pitching. Cobb is not quality, but he is a starting pitcher, so he’ll get the nod here. Cobb only pitched a side session, and he did not throw a rehab start, so it remains to be seen if his finger issue is still a problem. Regardless, he cannot be favored in this range at this stage. While he’s only pitched 10 innings this season, his swing-and-miss rate of just 2.5% is about the lowest we’ve ever seen. Cobb is a weak favorite that must be faded today.
