9:40 PM EST. Bryce Miller (RHP - SEA) did not factor into the decision in his last start, which came last Tuesday vs. the Dodgers. Miller gave up five hits on two walks over 4 IP and struck out four. It wasn’t a horrible start by any means, but Miller labored through 92 pitches to get his 12 outs. Even if Miller pitches well tonight, the Mariners struggle to score. Over their last six games, Seattle has plated just 20 runs, and they’ve gone 2-4 in those contests.

The Rays can play, and so can Ryan Pepiot (RHP - TB), who has taken two turns since a month-long layoff, and those starts resulted in one good outing which he parlayed into a better one. Right-handers hold a puny .202 BA and .574 OPS against him on the season. As we said, the M’s can’t hit, especially at home, where they post just a .207 BA and .644 OPS. In August, Seattle has been brutal, hitting .202 BA and .636 OPS.
