Freddy Peralta (RHP - MIL) is just 8-7, but he’s still racking up the strikeouts, which, at the end of the day, puts him in a position to be successful regardless of what is happening around him. Peralta is coming off an efficient outing last Saturday vs. Cleveland, in which he gave up one run over six innings. On the season, Peralta has 162 Ks in 137.1 IP with a swing-and-miss rate of 14.2%.

Miles Mikolas (RHP - STL) is in the midst of his weakest season since coming to St. Louis six years ago, as he’s posted a 5.41 ERA across 138 innings in 25 starts in 2024. It’s been shakier of late, with Mikolas posting a 6.80 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP since June 27. Moreover, he owns a lackluster line versus current Brewers bats (.840 OPS against). Last time out, Mikolas gave up five runs on seven hits over 5.2 IP in a loss to the Dodgers last Friday. Coming into tonight, Mikolas has now given up 14 runs in 13.2 IP in his last three starts. Avoid.
