Toronto over Chicago

2:20 PM EST. These are two teams headed in opposite directions, yet the destination looks to be the same: outside of the playoff picture. For the Blue Jays, it's a story of what could have been, as they have looked the part of a contender since the All-Star break. Unfortunately, it’s too little too late. The Jays have won three straight and five of their last seven, but they are still nine games back of a Wild Card position and sit dead last in the AL East.

One of the bright spots of late is the pitching of Yariel Rodríguez (RHP - TOR), who was a tough-luck loser vs. Oakland last Saturday, where he pitched 5.2 innings of one-run ball, striking out five. The lone blemish was a solo home run to Brent Rooker in the sixth, and it was the only tally the A’s needed to saddle Rodríguez with the loss. Y-Rod reached a season-high pitch count of 85 in that turn, and he has now allowed two earned runs or less in nine of his 12 starts this season. Over his last two starts, Rodríguez has a dazzling 0.87 ERA with a 1.06 WHIP and a 9/2 K/BB ratio across 10.1 IP.

Meanwhile, the Cubs are solidly playing themselves out of contention, as they are now 5½ games out of an NL Wild Card spot and 10½ back of the Brewers in the NL Central with 40 games to play. The Cubbies are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, and they’ll turn to Kyle Hendricks, who will presumably start today after nine days' rest because the Northsiders don’t have anyone else to turn to. On the year, Hendricks has a bloated ERA of 6.60 that is backed by an xERA of 5.30 while posting the worst swing & miss rate of his career. Hendricks is replacement-level fodder, and he cannot be favored in this range against the surging Blue Jays.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
